These came in with one side of the offset with a slight gradual bend intentionally built into the clip. At first, I was surprised, but this provided a spring like affect against the stretcher bars I was using it for and was a minor variation that was majorly beneficial.

As an artist and framing my own work I use these often. Strong metal. I’ve broken glass or frames using the staples and brads in the past and have never had a problem like that with these metal pieces that are screwed into frame. I recommend on some frames drilling a small pilot hole first.
