FAQ
Real answers to the framing questions we get most. Can't find yours? Ask us, we answer framing questions all day.
What sizes do you offer?
We make frames in any size you need. Order a common size like 5x7, 8x10, 16x20, or 24x36, or enter a custom size. Every frame is cut to order in our shop, so odd sizes are easy.
Can I order a custom size frame?
Yes. Custom sizes are our normal work, not a special order. A 13 3/4 by 19 1/2 inch frame is as easy for us as an 8x10. Measure your art and order that exact size.
How long does it take to make my order?
Most orders are built in about 3 business days. Each frame is made to order, so we cut, join, and fit it after you buy. Shipping time gets added on top and depends on where you live.
What are your frames made of?
Solid pine wood. Not plastic, and not particle board with a printed wrap. Corners are glued and v-nailed so they stay square. Every frame includes UV resistant acrylic, an acid free foam core back, and hanging hardware.
Do your frames come with glass?
We use frame grade UV resistant acrylic instead of glass. It looks just as clear, weighs less, and won't shatter in shipping or on your wall. The UV layer also slows sun fade on photos and prints.
How do I measure my art for a frame?
Measure the exact width and height of the art itself, not the old frame. Order that size. If you plan to use a mat, order the frame to match the outside size of the mat instead.
Do you sell mats to go with your frames?
Yes. We carry precut mats with a bevel cut window and acid free 4-ply board. A mat adds a clean border between your art and the frame, and it keeps the art from touching the acrylic.
How do I hang my frame?
Hanging hardware comes attached, and every frame can hang vertical or horizontal. Use a nail or picture hook rated for the frame's weight. For large frames, aim for a wall stud or use a wall anchor.
What is a shadow box used for?
A shadow box is a deep frame with space behind the acrylic. That space lets you display objects, not just flat art. People use them for medals, dried flowers, baby keepsakes, and ticket stubs.
Where are your frames made?
Every frame is built to order in the USA. We cut and join each one after you place your order.
What if my order arrives damaged or wrong?
Contact us through our contact page and include a photo. We will make it right. Since each frame is made to order, please double check your size before you buy.
